The 2009 All Maryland Junior College fall teams were recently announced and the Dragons were well represented.

Freshmen Kristina Rhodes and Brian Allen were named to the cross country team.

Sophomore midfielder Melissa Hawkes was named to the women's soccer team, and sophomore forward Promise Ebinum and Zachary Altmanson were named to the men's soccer team.

Both soccer teams lost in their final region games. The women lost to Montgomery-Rockville, 1-0, and the men to Prince George's, 2-0. The men had an outstanding season under coach Stefan Draganov.

The women struggled with injuries all season long and yet managed to play well in the closing weeks under head coach Kate Seagroves.

The women's volleyball team was seeded No. 1 going into the Region XX tournament, but was unable to bring home the title. Despite the disappointing finish the team had an outstanding year under first-year head coach Matt Troy.

Sophomore hitter Carly Pruitt was named to the All-Maryland second team, and sophomore middle blocker Brandi Cook was an honorable mention.
