Basketball

Marriotts Ridge is hosting its first girls basketball holiday tournament Dec. 29 and 30. Dec. 29: Marriotts Ridge vs. Glenelg Country (5 p.m.) and Chapelgate vs. Wilde Lake (7 p.m.). Dec. 30: Wilde Lake vs. Glenelg Country (5) and Marriotts Ridge vs. Chapelgate (7).

Proud and Positive will hold a 10-week long basketball clinic on Saturdays at the Robert J. DiPietro Community Center in Laurel. The clinic will be held Feb. 6-April 10, 2-4 p.m. (no clinic April 3). Jodi Ceglia will lead an indoor pitching clinic at Centennial High School five Sundays starting Feb. 14. The clinic is offered in two levels -- beginners (limited or no pitching skill) and intermediate (basic to above average skill). Rugby

Registration is open for the Howard County Boys and Girls High School Rugby League.
