Mo French and Mollie Belson scored the Magic's other goals. Bridgette Burrell, Courtney Doyle, Brooke Fueuerman and goalkeeper Emma Cynor rallied at defense to keep Frederick away from the net.

The SAC United Premier (U-11 boys, NCSL Division 1) tied the first-place Great Falls Cougars, 2-2. SAC played a solid first half with a goal scored by center midfielder Danny Kaiser. Jacob Soriano, a defender, assisted Javier Ward on SAC's second goal.

The Columbia United Girls U-15 Classic 2 has lost just once in its last four starts and has moved into third place in WAGS Division 3. After playing Bethesda to a scoreless tie on Saturday, the United edged the Parkville Pumas 2-1, May 4.

Kate Haker started the scoring from long distance after receiving a ball 25 yards out from Emily Piggott. The United made it 2-0 just before half when Sabrina Palm deposited the ball in the back of the net after Aileen Virella redirected a corner kick.

United's defense, led by Mary Marshall, Alli Hogan, Tori Lentz, Kelly Parr and keeper Amber Cope, held off a vigorous rally by Parkville in the second half as Kristina Humm remained quite active in controlling the middle of the field.

The prior week, Rebecca Leopold scored from 25 yards out in a driving rain as the United defeated Freestate, 1-0.
